“Brazilian” Buttock Lift is a popularized term that refers to the procedure of using liposuctioned fat to augment or enlarge the buttock region. The fat is usually taken from sites such as the abdomen, thighs and flank areas. It can be combined with a buttock lift in order to achieve optimal contouring.

This depends on the area of the buttock that needs to be lifted. There are a variety of incisions used, all of which are carefully planned at a pre-operative consultation to be as inconspicuous as possible and within the area covered by a bathing suit or underwear.
Fat grafting and its use in body contouring is a permanent process. Once the initial amount of fat has taken as a graft, a process that can take 8-10 weeks, that fat is permanent and its effect on that particular region of the body equally permanent. The amount of fat injected is determined intra-operatively according to the shape achieved. One can expect some loss of volume due to fat graft loss from processes not in the surgeons’ control.
